OUR MISSION
The mission of Foundation Partnership for Development (PfD) is to improve living conditions of the Albanian population, reduce social-economic disparities and support Albania’s regional, European and international integration.
We do this by stimulating, initiating, supporting and expanding ideas, practices, processes and know-how development and dissemination in various fields, fostering institutional development and democratic processes, thus expanding opportunities for democratic, social, economic, cultural, environmental and human development of Albanian population, in cooperation with the other national and international partners.
BRIEF HISTORY
The PfD is a non-for-profit, independent and nonpartisan research and development organization registered in June 2007 (Court Decision nr. 251). It originates from and builds on the experience of the former Center for Rural Studies and Sustainable Development, a development organization established in 1998. Following a strategic review of CRSSD activities, PfD was created to better respond to Albania’s new challenges on its way towards the achievement of millennium goals and its EU integration processes.
